Hello Lonnie Mae,
I am a twelve year survivor of ibc and a member of the board of this foundation. I have done a lot of research on this disease, since I had never heard of it when I was diagnosed. So as you can see, it is possible to recover. Ibc is fatal, as is any type of cancer. This disease is aggressive and invasive, so please be sure that you have a knowledgable team with ibc experience. I understand that you are frightened, I was too. I am, in no way, dismissing the severity of this disease, it is a really bad one. Was your chest wall cancer ibc? Did they just realize that you have a second cancer? How old are you? Please get back to me with these answers and we can talk more. My thoughts and prayers are with you,
